Healthcare policy group works to enable the development of holistic healthcare reform and exchange knowledge and experience with national counterparts. The group supports the Ministries of Health, Finance and the Economy as well as the parliamentary health committee.

1. BPCC Healthcare Policy Group meeting

The next meeting of the BPCC Healthcare Policy Group will take place on Thursday 17 May at 10:00, at the British Embassy in Warsaw (ul. Kawalerii 12) and will focus on the UK experience in hospital management.

1. Healthcare Policy Group - Health insurance in Poland

The meeting of the Healthcare policy group that took place on 5 April at the BPCC’s headquarters focused on the issue of supplementary health insurance in Poland. The speaker was Dr Krzysztof Łanda, president of the Watch Health Care foundation (www.korektorzdrowia.pl).
2. Healthcare Policy Group - Group actions – a new threat for pharmaceutical companies
The BPCC’s healthcare policy group met on 14 December to hear about the potential effects of the new law on Group Actions (or class actions in American parlance) that came into force in Poland on 19 July 2010.
3. Healthcare Policy Group - Latest changes in the law affecting the healthcare sector
The Healthcare policy group met on 29 June at the BPCC’s office. Lawyers from CMS Cameron McKenna – Agnieszka Deeg, partner and head of the CEE Lifesciences Sector Group and Łukasz Sławatyniec, associate – presented the latest changes in the law affecting the healthcare sector.
4. Healthcare Policy Group - Polish dietary supplements market
The BPCC’s Healthcare Policy Group met on 21st April at the Chamber’s offices to discuss the Polish dietary supplements market. Agnieszka Deeg, partner and head of the CEE Lifesciences Sector Group at CMS Poland who runs the Healthcare Group had a presentation on legal framework for development of the sector.
5. Healthcare Policy Group - Artur Falek met BPCC's Healthcare Policy Group

Artur Fałek, Director of the Pharma Department in the Ministry of Health met BPCC's Healthcare Policy Group. The meeting took place on 11 September on the BPCC premises and was moderated by Jacek Graliński, a BPCC member and healthcare expert.
6. Healthcare Policy Group - 2nd British Polish Healthcare Forum

On 18 June 250 healthcare professionals met at the 2nd British Polish Healthcare Forum, which was co-organised by the BPCC Health Policy Group and the Cardiac Centre in Zabrze, Upper Silesia. Patrons of the event were the Ministry of Health and the National Health Fund.
